Chapel Hill Pediatrics & Adolescents is available as your first resource when evaluating your child’s injury.  Our providers are able to evaluate the injury, to decide whether imaging is warranted, and to provide braces or splints as necessary for your child’s recovery.  Additionally, Dr. Walker Robinson is a board-certified primary care sports medicine physician (in addition to being a board-certified general pediatrician).  Dr. Robinson is available for initial injury evaluations and can provide expertise in more complicated non-surgical orthopedic injuries, concussion management, sports nutrition, and preventative injury management in addition to his normal well child care and annual sports physicals.

ImPACT Baseline and Post-Injury Concussion Testing

Chapel Hill Pediatrics & Adolescents is one of the few Triangle-based medical clinics offering ImPACT baseline and post-injury concussion testing.  We offer baseline testing on certain weekday and weekend dates throughout the year.  This testing is recommended for athletes 12 years and older, and is generally recommended to be repeated at least every 2 years during the middle and high school years.   Please call our main office to learn about upcoming ImPACT baseline testing availability.  Dr. Robinson, a Credentialed ImPACT Consultant (CIC), is also available to discuss the results of your child’s baseline testing as well his/her post-concussion ImPACT testing.
